We all know India is developing at an appreciable rate. But wat brought these changes? How did India manage to grow in-spite of recession all tht stuff??? The answer to all ur questions is simple- by including corporates in decision making. Yes! when India's reserves were just enough for a week it was Dr.Manmohan Singh who opened India's markets paving way for FDIs. Thus India's economy was saved. But who was Dr.Singh earlier. A Corporate. Its this corporate world which is changing the face of India. A man called Dhirubhai Ambani taught wat share market means. But at present many corporates hav left their business and hav taken up ambitious government posts- Nandan Nilekani of Infosys heads UID project. Arun Maira has been appointed as a member of the Planning Commission. Shailesh Gandhi has been appointed the Central Information Commissioner. Capt. Raghu Raman heads the National Intelligence Grid. All these ppl were busy with their own business before teaming up with Dr.Singh. But the culture of bringing in corporates was introduced by Rajiv Gandhi who supported Dr.Singh. Later Dr.Singh was made the Finance Minister in the Narasimah Rao regime during which liberalization brought a drastic change in India. Arun Maira was on a vacation when Dr.Singh called him and offered him a post in Planning Commission. It was Union Minister Prithviraj Chauhan who called Shailesh and requested him to be the Central Information Commissioner. Dr.Singh himself called Nandan Nilekani and appointed him the head of the UID project. Its a matter of proud tht these ppl have sacrificed their own interests for their country. One would say such a sacrifice is obvious but given the fact tht millions and millions of intelligent minds leave this country these ppl hav opted to stay back and contribute something to the country. I take this as an opportunity to stress tht even if we go abroad we should come backa nd contribute constructively for our mother land.

The best part of the postings of ur blog is the matching relevant pictures.Really nice!Keep it up!!
That's nice to hear about our nation. But, the work of poor labourers, farmers, patriotic army people will surely lead us to the top
Hello,
I think the progression for all these people have been natural. They have achieved all their worth in Corporate world and hence have taken up challenges with the Govt.
And they have sacrificed nothing. When you have seen that amount of money, it is but natural that money no longer could be the motivation it was before.
Also one main contention, Dr. Manmohan Singh has never worked in the Corporate world. From the start he has been a Govt man. You should read his resume. Very impressive. But never worked in any Company
Thank u Mr.Srinivasan for ur valuable comments. I'll surely go through Dr.Singh's resume.

It really cant be expressed in words ! Am sorry to be bringing in politics into this, but without the CONGRESS India would still be in the stone age ! Indians have a tendency to be negative about pessimistic ! They do not fully understand the depth or consequence of decisions that lay in front of them ! These corporates are the people who have actually experienced the government from the outside, they kinda know whats missing ! They also have their business acumen which took them so high in their respective careers !
Bravo India ! Kudos Mr. Singh !
