Incredible INDIA!!!!

"We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made!".These incredible words of Albert Einstein is enough to explain how great India is. Home to one of the oldest civilizations- Indus Valley Civilization, it has given rise to many wonders; greatest of them being Ahimsa founded by the greatest soul of our times- Mahatma Gandhi.Covering an area of 32,87,263 sq. km its bounded by snow covered Himalayas in the north and mighty Indian ocean in the south. After years of British Rule India gained her Independence in 1947. India became a sovereign democratic Republic from 1950, Jan 26. India is also the 7th largest country in the world with 28 states and 7 union territories. India is also the land of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism. India's Constitution is the longest in the world. The Legislature of India is the bicameral Parliament, with the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha. After its Independence India played a greater role in fighting for the Independence of many African and Asian countries from their European masters. India also liberated East Pakistan and saved Maldives from a coup(1988). India is also the founding member of NAM. Lemme post some of the interesting facts here.
Second Largest Army.
Fifth Largest Navy.
Fourth Largest Air Force.
DRDO makes the world's first supersonic missile BrahMos.
Nuclear Weaponry State.
10th in the world and 4th in Asia in plant diversity.
47000 species of plants.
15000 species of Vascular Flora with 35% of them found only in India.
One of the fastest growing economies.
World's second largest work force.
12th largest economy.
These are some of the achievements India has made. But its a fact tht we Indians hav a long way to go. Lets all pledge tht we'll surely take India to the top in the years to come.

i agree..but let me bring one point out...India was known for its unity which was clearly the main weapon used in the quest for independence .
but now u see only one thing in the mind of an Indian..- and that is how to get the better out of the fellow indian for his own self gain.and this has led to corruption in the whole country. So now an Indian sees how to get more money from others and from his own soil India itself. He poaches from the worlds most richest and diverse cultural country's culture and flora and fauna just for his own gain. And whoever poaches the tiger is a p#$%^ p@#$%^&^% T@#)(*&^%# P&*^.

But there is always a ray of hope cos there are some ppl who believe in good and try to make India the place it once truly was.

But this is our country so we will always support it.To victory and to our glorious motherland....
and proud to be its natives....
JAI HIND!
